70 Sugar Maple Leaves, small
1 c Lyle’s Golden Syrup
1 c Water
100 g Flour
1/4 C Maple Sugar
100 ml Spaten Optimaor (beer)
100 ml Ginger Beer
canola oil 350 F
Simmer leaves in Lyle’s & water for 30 min.
Pat leaves dry.
Combine flour, cornstarch, maple sugar, beer and ginger beer to form batter.
Dip 1 side of leaf in batter and fry until golden.
Drain on paper towels and serve it forth…
